Consistent service over time

I've been using MailerSend for a while now, probably my third or fourth project with them. My first experience was good, and they've kept up the consistency. This last order for more Email API credits was just as smooth as the others. No surprises, which is what I look for in these kinds of services. Their API logs are always super helpful too.

Good value for free tier

I was looking for an email service for my small project and stumbled upon MailerSend. The 12,000 free emails per month really caught my eye. It's a great deal for getting started without commitment. So far, the service has been reliable, and I haven't needed to upgrade yet. It felt like a smart choice.

Solid transactional email service

I signed up for MailerSend to handle transactional emails for my e-commerce site. The ordering process for the paid tier was clear, and I chose annual billing for the discount. Integrating the Email API took about an hour with our existing setup; their documentation was comprehensive. Delivery rates have been excellent, and I've been monitoring the open and click tracking, which seems accurate. I had a quick question about setting up DKIM records, and their support team responded within a few hours with clear instructions. The dashboard for managing suppression lists and viewing API logs is well-designed and intuitive. So far, a reliable and well-performing service for our needs.

Easy to set up SMTP

My friend told me about MailerSend for my app's emails. I'm not super techy, but setting up the SMTP relay was pretty straightforward. It took a few tries to get everything perfect, but their docs helped. Emails started sending no problem after that. It just worked, which was a relief.

Anyone know how MailerSend compares to SendGrid? Been using SendGrid for ages but looking for alternatives.

R Renee K. 1 month ago
MailerSend's analytics feel a bit more modern to me. Support is also way better in my experience.

I switched from SendGrid. MailerSend's UI is cleaner and I found their template builder easier to use. Price-wise it was pretty comparable for my volume.

Got a referral code from a friend. Where do I actually put that in when I sign up or upgrade?

P Paula 2 months ago
Pretty sure it's during the checkout process when you go to upgrade your plan. Look for a field there.

Yeah, don't remember seeing it on signup, but definitely when you're picking a paid plan to upgrade to.

Is it true you can really send 12,000 emails for free each month? That sounds kinda generous.

M Mia 1 month ago
Yup, that's what I started with. It's awesome for testing stuff out or for smaller projects.

I've been on the free tier for a while for a side project. No catch, it just works.

Thinking about paying annually to save some cash. How much of a discount are we talking usually?

B Beth Ito 1 month ago
I think it was around 15-20% when I switched. Definitely worth it if you plan to stick around.

Mine was 20% off the monthly rate. Made a noticeable difference.

What's their deal with dedicated IPs? Do you get one automatically if you're sending a lot or is it an add-on?

J Jared Foster 2 months ago
It's an add-on usually for higher volume plans. You'd probably need to talk to their sales or support about it.

I think it's extra, not automatic. Good for deliverability if you're sending huge volumes though.

Hey guys, thinking of switching to MailerSend. Are their API docs pretty straightforward for integrating into an app? Don't want to get stuck on setup.

P Paula M. 2 months ago
Yeah, I found them pretty clear. They have good examples for different languages too.

Honestly, compared to some others I've used, MailerSend's API was a breeze. Had it sending in like an hour.

Anyone done a return or canceled a subscription with them? Was it a pain?

P Paula 2 months ago
Never really 'returned' anything since it's a service, but canceling my subscription was super easy, just a few clicks in the settings.

Yeah, I upgraded for a month then downgraded back to free. No issues at all, it was pretty straightforward.
